Entirely
self taught, he has appeared across the United States in hundreds of high profile venues. Early
in his performing career, he won eight guitar competitions in less than two years. Mr.
Longley's blisteringly fast and gracefully articulate finger style technique, coupled with his mastery of the instrument,
performed on a simple nylon string Flemenco guitar, blew away some of the top seeded rock guitarists in the world. He has been hailed by music critics on several appearances and virually "steals the show" wherever
he performs. Robert has played TV venues such as the Jay Leno Show,
Emmy Awards, and on syndicated cable TV music programs. He has played on the Spanish Film Society Film Awards Show, and also
on Christopher Parkening’s Master’s Class twice, as the selected guest performer. Robert has opened for opened for such notable performers such as the Eagles Tribute Band,
The California Guitar Trio, Boney James, Michael Franks, Shiela E. and Dave Koz, Acoustic Alchemy, and
Steve Lukather. He has played to sold out crowds of up to 7,500 as in his ongoing Las Vegas Venue. Mr. Longley performed between
9:15 and 10 PM on the Courtyard stage JOIN
